MiniMax H3Hailuo 3.0 video generation, online

MiniMax H3 is the video model MiniMax released on 31 July 2026 as the successor to Hailuo 2.3: it renders native 2K (2560×1440) at 24 fps with dialogue, effects and room tone generated in the same pass, and it takes text, images, reference clips and audio in one prompt. On HelloGen it sits in the Studio’s video composer next to Veo, Kling and Seedance, priced per second in credits.

A Pro-tier model, from 80 credits per clip. Pro subscribers go straight to the Studio; everyone else lands on the plans page first. A failed render is never charged.

What’s new

What MiniMax H3 changes

Four things Hailuo 2.3 could not do, and why they matter for a short clip.

Native 2K, no upscaler

H3 regenerates its own low-resolution draft in context to reach 2560×1440, instead of bolting an upscaler onto a 1080p render. Text on signs, fabric weave and skin stay coherent at full size.

Sound in the same pass

Dialogue, footsteps, weather and room tone are generated with the picture, timed to what happens on screen. A line of dialogue in the prompt comes back spoken, not silent.

One prompt, many references

The model reads text, up to nine reference images, reference video and audio together, so a character, a camera move and a voice can each come from a different source.

Camera language it actually follows

Prompt “slow orbit”, “handheld tracking shot” or “push in” and the shot does that. Independent arena rankings in early August 2026 placed H3 first for video editing and second for text-to-video.

How it works

How to use MiniMax H3 on HelloGen

01

Pick MiniMax H3

Open the Studio’s video tab and choose MiniMax H3 from the model list — the button above preselects it. The price updates as you set resolution and length.

02

Describe the shot, or upload

Write subject, action, camera move and lighting, and put any dialogue in quotes so it is spoken. Or drop in a photo as the first frame, add a last frame, or attach reference images and a clip.

03

Render at 720p or 2K

Choose 5 or 10 seconds and 720p or 2K, then submit. The finished clip lands in My Works with its soundtrack; a failed render costs nothing.

Prompt ideas

Prompts that play to MiniMax H3’s strengths

Copy one into the composer and swap the nouns. Prompts are kept in English so they can be pasted as-is.

01Text to video

Slow orbit around a lone lighthouse on a basalt cliff at blue hour. Waves break below, the beam sweeps through drifting fog. Cinematic 24 fps, shallow depth of field; wind and distant surf audible.

02Image to video

Animate this product photo: the camera pushes in slowly while the bottle turns 90 degrees on a wet slate surface. Soft studio key light, a few water droplets slide down the glass. Quiet room tone.

03Reference guided

The woman from the reference images walks through a rain-soaked Tokyo alley at night, neon reflected in puddles. Handheld tracking shot from behind; she turns and smiles at the camera. Ambient rain and city hum.

04Text to video

Two-shot in a diner booth under warm tungsten light. An older man in a flannel shirt says “You came back.” The woman opposite laughs softly and replies “I never left.” Natural room tone, a faint clink of cutlery.

Compare

MiniMax H3 vs the other video models on HelloGen

Pick MiniMax H3 when you want sound and camera control in one render at the lowest 2K price on the site. Kling 3.0 is the alternative for a true 4K frame with optional sound; Veo 3.1 Quality trades price for Google’s prompt fidelity; Seedance 2.5 is the one to reach for when a scene needs to hold together across several shots.

FAQ

MiniMax H3 questions

What is MiniMax H3?

MiniMax H3 is a video generation model from MiniMax, released on 31 July 2026 as the successor to Hailuo 2.3. It generates native 2K (2560×1440) video at 24 frames per second with a soundtrack produced in the same pass, and accepts text, images, reference video and audio as input. Most people know it under its consumer name, Hailuo 3.0.

Are MiniMax H3, Hailuo 3.0 and Hailuo 03 the same model?

Yes. MiniMax H3 is the model’s official name; Hailuo 3.0 and Hailuo 03 are the names it carries in the Hailuo AI app and in third-party listings. HelloGen uses the official name in the composer.

Does MiniMax H3 generate sound?

Yes — sound is native to the model, so every clip comes back with its soundtrack (dialogue, effects and ambience) generated together with the picture. That is why the HelloGen composer shows no separate sound toggle for H3, and why the price does not change for audio.

What resolution does MiniMax H3 output?

Two tiers: 768p, listed as “720p” in the composer, and the model’s native 2K, which is 2560×1440. It does not render 4K; if you need a 4K frame, Kling 3.0 and the Veo 3.1 models offer one.

How many credits does a MiniMax H3 clip cost on HelloGen?

16 credits per second at 720p and 26 per second at 2K. So a 5-second 720p clip is 80 credits and a 10-second 2K clip is 260. Pro includes 3,600 credits a month — enough for about 45 five-second 720p clips — and a failed render is never charged.

Which plan do I need for MiniMax H3?

MiniMax H3 is a Pro-tier model on HelloGen. Subscribe to Pro ($19.9 a month, or $15.99 a month billed yearly) and it appears in the video composer with 3,600 monthly credits; the button on this page takes subscribers straight to the Studio and everyone else to the plans page.

Can I keep the same character across clips?

Use reference mode: attach up to nine reference images of the character, and optionally a reference video or audio track, then describe the new scene. H3 treats them as guidance for identity, wardrobe and voice, which is the most reliable way to carry a character from one clip to the next.

Can I use MiniMax H3 videos commercially?

Yes — clips you generate on HelloGen are yours to use, including commercially, to the extent the law allows. You are responsible for making sure your prompt and any image, video or audio you upload do not infringe someone else’s rights; the Acceptable Use Policy covers the details.
