Content Removal Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This page explains how to ask us to take something down from HelloGen (hellogen.ai), what we need from you, and how quickly we act. Anyone can file a request — you do not need a HelloGen account, a lawyer, or a registered right. It forms part of our Terms of Service and sits alongside our Acceptable Use Policy and our Copyright & DMCA Takedown Policy.

1. What you can ask us to remove

Any content we host that involves you or breaches our rules, including:

  • An image that depicts you, your face, or your likeness — whether or not it is realistic.
  • Content that impersonates you or falsely suggests you said, did, or endorsed something.
  • Intimate, nude or sexualised imagery of you, created or shared without your consent.
  • Any content involving a minor.
  • A public share page (hellogen.ai/s/… or freeimggen.com/s/…) that you or someone else published.
  • Content misusing your trademark, brand or other intellectual property.
  • Personal data about you — your address, phone number, ID document or similar — appearing in an image or prompt.
  • Anything else that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Who can ask

The person depicted or affected, a parent or legal guardian acting for a minor, an authorised representative or lawyer, a rights holder, or a law-enforcement or regulatory body. You may also report content that affects someone else — we will act on clear violations of our rules regardless of who reports them.

3. How to ask

Email support@hellogen.ai with the subject line "Content Removal Request" and include:

  • The exact link (URL) to the content, or the share page address. If you cannot find a link, describe where and when you saw it and attach a screenshot.
  • What is wrong with it — pick the closest category from section 1.
  • Your relationship to the content: are you the person depicted, a guardian, a representative, or a rights holder?
  • A way to contact you. We only use it to handle your request.
  • For likeness claims, we may ask for a minimal, self-evident confirmation that you are the person shown. Do not send identity documents unless we ask; if we do, we delete them once the request is closed.

4. How fast we act

We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and resolve most within 5. Two categories jump the queue and are handled as fast as we can, typically within 24 hours: content involving a minor, and non-consensual intimate imagery. You do not need to prove anything up front for those two — report first, and we will remove first and ask questions afterwards.

5. What removal actually means

We delete the stored file and take the share page offline, so the link stops working for everyone. We also record the report against the account or device that created the content, which feeds our repeat-violation enforcement. Note that most generated images are already deleted automatically 24 hours after creation — public share pages are the exception, and they stay up only until someone asks us to remove them.

6. If we say no

We will tell you why in writing. You can reply to the same thread asking us to look again, and a different person will review it. If you disagree with the outcome you keep every legal remedy you would otherwise have — nothing in this policy limits your rights, and we will not treat using them as a breach of our Terms.

7. Proactive removal

We also remove content without waiting for a report. Every prompt is screened before generation and results are re-checked afterwards; content that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy is blocked or taken down automatically, and repeated attempts result in loss of access.

8. Law enforcement and emergencies

Requests from law-enforcement or regulatory bodies should go to support@hellogen.ai with official identification. Where there is a credible risk to someone’s life or safety, mark the email URGENT and we will prioritise it above everything else.
